Producer Griselda Yorke joins The Old Vic

The Old Vic is delighted to announce that Griselda Yorke will be joining the theatre in June to lead the producing activity for the award-winning work on stage, as well as looking ahead to the programme for The Old Vic’s new Backstage building from 2025.

Griselda joins the theatre with a wealth of experience; most recently at the RSC where she served as Executive Producer on productions such as My Neighbour Totoro and Matilda The Musical. Prior to the RSC, Griselda was Executive Producer for Punchdrunk, Executive Director at Cheek by Jowl and Producer for the Barbican’s international theatre season.

Old Vic Artistic Director Matthew Warchus said: ‘I’m very excited that Griselda will be joining us at The Old Vic. She brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise and I look forward to working with her to deliver future seasons of unmissable shows.’

Griselda Yorke said:‘I’m excited to be joining The Old Vic at this moment in their 200-year history as they prepare to open a new Backstage building in 2025. I am looking forward to working with Matthew, Laura and the team to expand the reach of their outstanding programme at home and abroad. It has been an honour to work with so many brilliant artists and colleagues at the Royal Shakespeare Company.’

Griselda joins the team following the departure of Harriet Mackie, who has recently taken up a new role in the producing department of the National Theatre. In the interim, The Old Vic is very happy to be working with Rebekah Jones as Producer.
