Navybee seeks young dancers for new streaming documentary

Navybee, the production company behind Molly-Mae: Behind It All, is seeking talented young dancers under 16 and their families for a new documentary series being developed for a major streaming platform.

The project will follow young dancers and their families as they navigate the dedication, pressure and triumphs of the UK’s competitive dance scene. The casting team is particularly interested in families who live and breathe dance, whether their child is training, competing, performing or working toward their next big goal.

Dancers of all styles and levels are encouraged to apply, with or without professional representation. Applicants will be asked to share details about their dance background, including the styles they train in, how long they have been dancing, their weekly training hours, competition experience, biggest achievements and ambitions.

Families will also be asked to submit dance photos or videos, along with a one-minute video featuring the young dancer and their parent or legal guardian explaining who they are and why dance is such an important part of their lives.

Filming is expected to take place for approximately one day in late September 2026, with applications closing September 18. A parent or legal guardian must submit the application on behalf of any child.

Participation is not paid, as the project follows real dancers and their families rather than casting children for a paid performance role. Being contacted for a further stage of the casting process does not guarantee selection for the final programme.
