Make Magical Memories This Christmas at Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall Nottingham

Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall Nottingham are delighted to announce a festive season with something for everyone. Whether you’re after pure nostalgia, heart-warming tradition, or a dazzling night to remember, this year’s programme wraps up every shade of holiday joy and carries the celebrations all the way from the first fairy lights to the final chimes of New Year’s Eve.

What better way to usher in the festive season than with a trip to the pantomime? This year’s star-studded production of Cinderella (28 Nov to 4 Jan) at the Theatre Royal promises to make a fab-u-lous start to everyone’s Christmas season. More festive family fun can be found with The Muppet Christmas Carol (30 Nov), Home Alone in Concert (5 Dec), Christmas at the Movies (7 Dec), Beanbag Music Club: Festive Fun (13 Dec), The Snowman Live (21 Dec), Horrible Christmas (27 Dec), and Taylormania (30 Dec).

Two much-loved classical concert favourites return this year, with The Hallé Christmas Concert (17 Dec) and Sinfonia Viva’s New Year Gala (31 Dec), ending the year on a high note with a delightful mix of nostalgia and celebration. Enthusiastic carollers will also get their chance to shine at the NTU Chamber Choir’s free lunchtime Christmas Concert (8 Dec), and Nottingham Harmonic Choir’s ever-popular Family Carol Concert (20 Dec), joined once again by Thoresby Colliery Band.

Tony Hadley brings a celebration of crooner classics with his Christmas Band Tour (16 Dec), festive folk singer Kate Rusby returns (19 Dec), and there will be a stocking-full of showstoppers with Christmas at the Musicals (18 Dec), Swing into Christmas with the Down for the Count Orchestra (22 Dec), and the Christmas song spectacular Step Into Christmas (23 Dec).

If you are looking for some extra Christmas cheer, the country’s best comedians are coming together for a spectacular all-star Live At Christmas show (12 Dec), featuring Simon Amstell, Lucy Beaumont, Phil Wang, and Sarah Keyworth. Join the Theatre Royal Players for festive comedy Inn Side Story (20 Dec) or prepare to be enchanted by a dance legend in Christmas with Anton Du Beke (2 Dec).

And finally, if you wish it could be Christmas every day, extend the season into the New Year with a slice of pure escapism in Christmas Carol Goes Wrong (27 Jan to 31 Jan).

If you can’t decide what to come and see just yet, you can treat yourself or someone special to a gift voucher, or, if you come to the theatre regularly, a gift membership to enjoy priority booking, ticket discounts, special offers and other benefits throughout the year.
