Children & Their Grown Ups Festival is back

Children & Their Grown Ups Festival is back

On 28 October, Yorkshire Dance is delighted to announce the return of Encounters: Children & Their Grown Ups which brings an eclectic mix of vibrant new performances for ages 0-10 and exciting, family friendly, dance workshops to central Leeds.

This year’s festival welcomes children and their families to enjoy watching dance and moving together, to celebrate the imagination and playfulness in all of us!

Headlining the festival is the Yorkshire premiere of Skydiver by Xenia Aidonopoulou, created as part of Little Big Dance – a national early years project which aims to develop innovative dance performances for our youngest audience members.

Performances and workshops are relaxed and open to all ages, meaning you can come and go or move around if you need to.

Festival Highlights include: Skydiver by Xenia Aidonopoulou (10:30-11:15 am); Get Lost by Joe Garbett Dance (2:00-2:45 pm); Into the Sky: Tots & Their Grownups with Louise McDowall and Alexandra Mettam (9-10 am); Company of People Workshop with TC Howard (9:30 – 11 am); Karaoke & Dance Workshop with Lewys Holt (2:45 -4:15 pm); TEMPO and Get Lost by Joe Garbett Dance (11:40 am – 12:15 pm); and Draw a Dance with Cbloxx over lunch (11:30 am – 2 pm).
