Applications for Outdoor Dance Festival Bursary now OPEN!

Are you interested in outdoor dance? Do you want to learn more about touring it internationally?

FABRIC has partnered with Déda and OutdoorArtsUK to offer ten bursaries for Midlands-based independent dance artists/companies and producers to see live outdoor work at Derby Festé on Saturday 23 September and receive advice and guidance from OutdoorArtsUK.

Bursary holders will receive a £100 bursary and access to the following programme:

OutdoorArtsUK Drop-In Breakfast: An informal and informative session reflecting on dance in outdoor programming as well as networking with peers, connecting you to the artists, programmers, and organisations present.

International Touring Session with OutdoorArtsUK: A dedicated session for bursary holders to find out more about touring internationally in the outdoor arts sector. Allowing you to learn where the key festivals are, what to take into consideration, how to start building your relationships, and how to make progress.

A recommended route of live works at Derby Festé: Including Autin Dance Theatre, Joss Arnott Dance, Vanhulle Dance Theatre, 2Faced Dance Company, Delrevés, Highly Sprung, Def Motion, Farmyard Circus, Compagnie des Quidams and many more. All live works are free, no booking required.

Eligible artists are either an independent artist/company or producer working in dance; based in the Midlands; have some experience of touring outdoors; interested in touring outdoor work internationally; and available to attend the 23 September 2023 from 10am – 6pm in Derby.
